Living Room VIP Club open soon in Ft. Lauderdale

Living Room has been hyped for months now. They began the hype around Gay Pride in June and things finally seem to be approaching a climax. It is located at the Las Olas Riverfront Complex and hopefully it will live up to the hype and the $3 Million price tag. It's not a 'total' gay nightclub, but it is owned and operated by the Gays. Friday will be the 'designated' gay nite, but all nites are 'gay friendly'.

The Living Room is decribed as featuring "3 rooms all designed for your visual pleasure. As you enter the club there is an approximately 8' by 10' door with Angelina Jolie on it and she greets you, winks at you and blows kisses. The Opal Room will be a base white color, but the entire room is modulated by a LED mood space that responds to physical temperatures and body reactions. The second is the Meditation Room which is a living loft on the water with a very industrial, simple, clean feel. The third room is called “The Gate” which is their hardcore dance room powered by Dynacore (also at Space in Miami). The walls and ceilings are all made from grass and the bar-tops are liquid and respond to temperature. Inverness (meaning heaven) is the outside area and is Chic, contemporary, sophisticated, minimalist, with beds (ala Nikki Beach). The theme for the outside was based on fire and water."

JetSet Club in Ft. Lauderdale opens tonite!

The Grand Opening of the new gay hotspot JetSet in Ft. Lauderdale opens tonight. DJ Able is spinning and is sure to kick off the place with a thump.

The club features 3 rooms of entertainment and is located at 109 SW 2nd Street, Downtown Ft. Lauderdale. It's next to VooDoo Lounge. They also feature 5 full-liquor bars, 5 VIP rooms and a kick ass lighting and sound system.

Looks like they will fill the void left by Coliseum.

Score Bar - South Beach gets small facelift.

After 7 years...the front room at Score Bar in South Beach has finally been renovated. While it looked great prior to the renovation...it has a fresh new updated look. Us gays need something fresh...even in our favorite party spots.

Score is located on Lincoln Rd in South Beach (Lincoln Road Mall). It's one of the long running gay spots in SoBe. It always packs them in.

The rumors are true...Coliseum Nightclub is CLOSED

It's been speculated for months...but it is now official. New Years Eve was the last night the Coliseum Nighclub will welcome us gays. The Coli was one of the longest running hot spots in South Florida and I'm sure everyone will be sad to see it go.

I've had my share of fun with the late nite club packed with 1/2 naked men...dancing, rubbing...and sometimes sucking. (The ultra fog machine created a 'white' out that many took advantage of.) While I'm sad to see it go...most clubs geared to the 'ultra' party scene only stay around for a few years. People like new fresh scenes as they sip water and dance for 8 hours nonstop. The one thing I will NOT miss is the parking. The valet service was HORRIBLE and free parking was hard to find.

Coli closes right on the heels of it's neighbor The Copa (another long running club). It should be interesting to see if the new 'hot spot' will be closer to Wilton Manors...or stay out by the Airport. There used to be a lot of Miami boys making the drive to Coli as well. I hope they don't stop making that drive. They were always to fun to play around with.

Of course...the venue will change...but the Gary Santis hot parties will continue. Here is where you will find the new locations of Coli's hottest nites:

Friday - South Florida's hottest 18 and over (collage) nite will now be at Purgatory ( in Ft. Lauderdale).

Saturday - January 12th will be the grand opening of Flash @ Steel. Steel is located very close to Wilton Manors off of Powerline Road. Catch the Coli staff (bartenders, divas and more) that will make sure the party continues. The hot celebrities and DJs are also moving to Flash. Steel is becoming quite the little entertainment complex...

New Club in Ft. Lauderdale Opens December 1

Yesterday was the grand opening of the new club Purgatory in Ft. Lauderdale. The club is located in the old 'Saint' and 'Stud' location at:
1000 State Road 84
Ft. Lauderdale, FL

The Saint and Stud used to be really popular...so it should be interesting to see if this club can bring back the excitement. The website still seems to be under construction...but hopefully they will have it fully functional soon.
