For those of you that only know Cyndi Lauper as an 80's pop singer....shame shame shame on you!! While she hasn't really caught the 'lighting' through the 90's and 00's...she is one talented singer/songwriter. She is a wonderful person and does so much for out community (the gays). Her voice is unique and she knows how to keep things fresh.
You guys really need to check out her new CD "Bring ya to the Brink". I personally think it's her best CD to date and that's only after 2 listens! This is the kind of CD that Madonna could only dream of releasing. Some of the deluxe versions have 2 remixes that make the CD well over 1 hour. That's one hell of a value.
There are songs on this CD for everyone. There are throw backs to the 70's, 80's and 90's ...all with a Cyndi twist. If the radio doesn't pick up one of these songs, it would be proof that they don't know what good music is.
This by far is my #1 CD choice for the year. Give it a listen and tell your friends. This is one woman that deserves a comeback.
