Wicked Manors a total blast.

(Wicked Manors 2008 - Wilton Manors Florida...2008)

Wicked Manors (Wilton Manor's Halloween street party) was a huge success again this year. The party started yesterday at around 7 PM and lasted until after 11 PM. Once the street party vendors closed...everyone hit the many bars on the Drive. Actually...all the bars were packed by 9 and everyone was in a party mood.

(Bill's Filling Station on the Drive was 'full'.)

I didn't snap too many pictures...I was kind of too busy keeping track of my drinks :) Of course I had to hit Slammers on Sunrise Blvd after Wilton Drive. Slammers was packed as well...not too many guys in costume though. I left Slammers with my thirst quenched. :)

(Wilton Manors Police had a cool 'police' 3 wheel Segway.)

(Hmmm...new store on Wilton Drive in the works....'Rock Hard'. Wonder what they are gonna sell??)

Florida Early Voting starts tomorrow!

Vote, VOTE, VOTE!!!

Florida early voting starts tomorrow...so there is no excuse for any Florida resident not to make it.

Anyone that has friends or family in Florida...please tell them to VOTE NO on Amendment 2. Although it is currently illegal in the state for 2 gays to marry...Amendment 2...if passed, will define marriage as only a man and woman...along with only marriage unions will be recognized. This would add discrimination to the state constitution and also could impact any str8 domestic partnership that are currently allowed in the state.

If you are a Florida resident...VOTE NO! on 2!

Ok...I'll get off my soapbox now. This is actually the first general election that I feel so emotionally invested in the outcome. Lets just hope McCain/Palin doesn't win. Can you imagine?

Britney's back! Womanizer Video released..and it's HOT. See it here.

It's hard to believe she was such a mess only a year ago...but I'm glad to see her getting back to her old self! The song is on iTunes and it's really got a good hook. Listen to it a few times and you can't get it out of your head. The video premiered on 20/20 last night, but here is the whole video without the 'steam' blocking some shots of her in the shower. Great job Britney...glad to have you back and off the crack.

Palin the dummy.

Well it looks like the Palin investigation has found that she abused her power in Alaska. Big shocker there huh? It's really scary that someone this dumb has made it this far in US politics. While she did 'ok' at the debate...it still had pieces of the blundering buffoon we all saw in the interviews. It was over-hearsed and when there was a question they didn't rehearse she didn't answer it. Smart for a dummy.

Here's a funny video that mashes together every ignorant interview Palin gave. No wonder why she's not giving any more interviews. If you notice...all appearances are speeches now.

Start planning Halloween in Wilton Manors!

This year the name of the huge Halloween Block Party is "Wicked Manors" Since Halloween falls on a Friday, I predict this will draw a ton of people and be one hell of a party.

The 'theme' of the night is the 'Silver Scream'. Totally a camp fest....should be lots of fun.

"Dust off those wigs and over-the-top costumes, it's time to celebrate the most ghostly of holidays ... Halloween. Join us in Greater Fort Lauderdale for the hottest party in Florida – the Wicked Manors Block Party on Wilton Drive in Wilton Manors.

This year’s theme, “The Silver Scream” will feature classic horror films from the past with party-goers in more eclectic and eccentric costumes than anywhere in South Florida. Female impersonators, contests, food vendors, bars and themed booths will fill “The Drive” with lots of good old Halloween fun.

Looking to play some tricks or get some treats then come to one of these devilishly fun events or contests:

5 pm: Trick or Treat on the Drive
Get in the Wicked Manors spirit and trick-or-treat the entire length of the Drive from 5 pm to 7 pm. Participating businesses will offer special “treats” for the kids and adults and be on the lookout for your favorite storefront decorated in the spirit of Halloween!

7 pm: Wicked Manors Block Party Begins
Party the night away with a fabulous DJ and other live or (undead) entertainment.

Pet Costume Contest: Don't leave the pets at home! Dress up your dog, costume your cat, masquerade your mouse! Furry friends can win big in this contest! Prizes will be awarded for large and small breeds.

Celebrity Look-A-Like Contest: Has anyone ever told you that you look like Marilyn Monroe or maybe Hugh Grant? Here's your chance to dress like a diva, wear movie star make-up, be a Britney (or not). Celebrate your inner celebrity and join the fun.

Drag Queen Walk Off! Bring out the high heels for this one! A quick walk down the runway, past the crowds and back to the stage - FIERCE!

Costume Contest: The prizes get bigger and the judging gets tougher! Can you be the scariest? Or even the best?

Winners announced throughout the evening and at 11 pm, we crown the Lord and Lady of Wicked Manors! "

It appears the event is free, you'll just have to pay for parking. Also, for those of you not familiar with the area, there are many bars on 'The Drive' and I guarantee you can make a whole night of it. The Pride night festival was a blast and I'm really looking forward to this event.

This was a shocker huh?

I'm sure everyone is still in shock. Well maybe only the ultra-conservative Palin followers. Everyone in the gay community KNEW this for a looooong time. Do we really care? Hell yeah! Makes for great gossip.

I happen to know someone personally that Clay wanted to shag. It appears that Clay loves Black Men as well. Clay invited a few people over for a party years ago and wanted to screw around with my friend. Clay had his bodyguard ask him if he wanted to mess around. Weird huh? He couldn't even ask himself.

Let's hope he's finally happy with his child and leads a calmer more peaceful life. Maybe he will open some eyes in the conservative camp too. You never know.

Living Room VIP Club open soon in Ft. Lauderdale

Living Room has been hyped for months now. They began the hype around Gay Pride in June and things finally seem to be approaching a climax. It is located at the Las Olas Riverfront Complex and hopefully it will live up to the hype and the $3 Million price tag. It's not a 'total' gay nightclub, but it is owned and operated by the Gays. Friday will be the 'designated' gay nite, but all nites are 'gay friendly'.

The Living Room is decribed as featuring "3 rooms all designed for your visual pleasure. As you enter the club there is an approximately 8' by 10' door with Angelina Jolie on it and she greets you, winks at you and blows kisses. The Opal Room will be a base white color, but the entire room is modulated by a LED mood space that responds to physical temperatures and body reactions. The second is the Meditation Room which is a living loft on the water with a very industrial, simple, clean feel. The third room is called “The Gate” which is their hardcore dance room powered by Dynacore (also at Space in Miami). The walls and ceilings are all made from grass and the bar-tops are liquid and respond to temperature. Inverness (meaning heaven) is the outside area and is Chic, contemporary, sophisticated, minimalist, with beds (ala Nikki Beach). The theme for the outside was based on fire and water."

Long lost brothers?

I was watching Big Brother 10 this week and realized. The oldest contestant Jerry is 75 years old...which is just 4 years older than the RNC nom McCain! They could be brothers that went to the same high school! Does everyone really want a guy that is so old in the White House? Let alone with some of the hate values he's bringing to the table? All he talks about is war. It's kind of scary.
